Iglu & Hartly Opening Band for Design For Humanity event
by Billabong on Apr.15, 2009, under event, music
Iglu & Hartly have signed on as the opening band for the 3rd Annual Billabong’s Design For Humanity event happening June 17th. (Headlining band to be released at a later date).
Iglu & Hartly have been described as Tom Petty meets The Pointer Sisters in a neon karaoke bar in Tokyo singing Tina Turner. The music is a sonic milkshake, a genre blending, culture-defying laser show. Synths, raps, explosive hooks, colorful bridges, sailboats, inspiration.
“We’re f@#king widescreen,” says Jarvis Anderson, lead vocalist and producer for Iglu and Hartly. “The album’s like that scene in The Wizard Of Oz when the picture flips from black and white into colour.”
